My husband, the printer

It's very easy to take good things for granted, especially husbands. Mine is a man of few words. He needs a lot of time to himself. But when I look back over these ten years we've been married. There he is always at the perfect time helping me with the most important things. He's definitely been my biggest supporter with my craft. We started dating when I was still in college and he would go to the studio with me and help me work on the book I made for my senior thesis. After we married, he's always allowed me to take entire rooms of our home for the print shop. He refinished the lower level of our house and helped the mover carry a ton of metal over the threshold. It's taken us ten years of hard work and saving to build the facility we now have.

But the very best thing he did to support me was become a printer himself. He applied all he'd learned studying art, drawing, etching and became a really great printer! He even knows how to repair the presses and clean their motors. He's done some beautiful work.

I have an active, practical mind and I tend to focus on things that need to be improved. I could list off twenty things that I want to change about our studio in ten seconds. But I'm trying to focus more on what's right- in every aspect of life- where love and gratitude abound. The support and collaboration with Cameron is a blessing for which I thank God.
