I teach letterpress printing, typesetting (from metal and wood type), making printing plates on the computer, printmaking (linoleum, wood and monoprint) and simple bookbinding. I also provide all these services.
Lessons cost $35 and hour for one person or $45 an hour for up to three people working on the same project. There is a max. fee of $200 per day since projects can take a lot of time. During a one to two hour workshop one can make a nice batch of stationery (that can be packed as gifts) or up to 100 calling cards.
Experienced printers (after about three lessons) can rent the studio with light supervision for $20 the first hour and $10 each additional hour.
I'm happy to have a visit and give a tour by appointment. I've been able to make business cards and stationery for two homeschooling families this year and found that working on a letterpress project together can also be a nice pretense for a childrens' play-date.
Some people just like to come by and see the big machines like this Heidelberg Windmill made in US occupied Germany.
